CERTIFIED JUDGES FOR PROFICIENCY TESTS

1. JUDGES GROUP LISTS

The original WCFO Judges group list will be dissolved and split into two group lists

1. WCFO Certified Judges List.
2. WCFO Shadow Judge and Mentors list.

2. SHADOW JUDGE MENTORS

These are WCFO Certified Judges that are able to volunteer to mentor our shadow judges to prepare them to become WCFO Certified Judges. Their responsibilities include.

1. To communicate with shadow judge and guide through the judging process by answering questions and giving advice on how to become a better judge.
2. Video Competitions
1. Go over the shadow judge score sheets and video and advise shadow judge
2. Send original shadow judge score sheets and evaluation to Judges Advocate (remember to make copies for your records if you deem necessary)
3. Live Competitions
1. WCFO Judges may mentor any shadow judge at a Live WCFO Titling event approved by Judges Advocate.
2. WCFO Judge that mentors at live event must send an evaluation of shadow judge to the Judges Advocate.

WCFO Shadow Judges

To become a WCFO Judge you must enter the shadow judge program for training.

1. You must send an application to the WCFO Judges Advocate , which will be sent to WCFO Judges Advisory Panel for approval.
When you are approved
1. Must study WCFO guidelines which can be downloaded from WCFO website.
2. You will be assigned a Mentor to advise you
3. You will be invited to join the Shadow Judge/Mentor Group List.
4. You will be responsible to have score sheets and guidelines at every competition you are shadow judging

Shadow Judging Video Competitions

1. Notify the WCFO Judges Advocate no earlier than 2 weeks before the closing date of the video competition.
2. WCFO Judges Advocate will notify you and the WCFO video competition Chairman if you are approved to shadow judge no later than the week after the closing date of competition
3. WCFO Video Competition Chairman will send you 2 copies of competition with Competition information.
4. There will be a limit of 6 shadow judges at each video competition.
5. Shadow judge should make copy of their completed score sheets and program for their records and keep on copy of competition
6. Shadow judge sends to their assigned mentor,
   1. original scoresheets
   2. 2nd copy of competition
   3. original program

Shadow Judging Live Competitions

1. Notify the WCFO Judges Advocate no earlier than 2 weeks before the closing date of the live competition.
2. Shadow judge will be notified as soon as is approved by Judges Advocate and Host Event Chairman no later than the week after closing date.
3. Judges Advocate and/or Host Club Chairman will be responsible to notify WCFO Judge of mentoring shadow judge.
4. Judges Advocate will approve how many shadow judges per judge at live competition.
5. Shadow judge is responsible to have copy of WCFO Guidelines and scoresheets at live event.
6. Host Club Chairman and/or WCFO Judge will set aside enough time for WCFO Judge to mentor shadow judge.
7. WCFO Judge will send evaluation of shadow judge to WCFO Judges Advocate within 2 weeks after event.
8. Shadow judge should make copies of score sheets for their own record and send original score sheets to Judges Advocate. If the judge that mentored would want a copy it is responsibility of shadow judge to sent also.
9. Shadow judges must judge 3 video competition, 2 live competitions and attend a Judges workshop.
10. After completion of requirements all evaluations and recommendation of Shadow Judge mentor will be sent to Judges Advocate for review.
